Who are some artists who were influenced by Scott’s latter work?

I can think of tons of people who’ve cited the Scott 1-4 as influences but what artists have pointed to Tilt and its follow-ups as inspiration?

I recall Circuit Des Yeux citing late-period Scott Walker as a reference point for her 2013 album Overdue.

Lingua Ignota covered one of his songs from Scott 2, but her music is clearly much more influenced by The Drift/Bish Bosch.

Xiu Xiu covered 'See You Don't Bump His Head,' and I would say Scott's influence is all over his entire body of work.

I recall some of the people from Black Country, New Road posing in front of the original painting of the cover art to Bish Bosch, and although I wouldn't say their music sounds too much like his on the surface I can imagine it was probably an influence.

Father John Misty is fan of his entire body of work, including the latter stuff. Dan Bejar of Destroyer is as well.

Other than that, off the top of my head I can't recall very many people citing him directly but I would imagine a lot of the darker industrial/experimental rock bands and artists of the past decade are probably familiar with his work.

Agree with all this and just to footnote this, I'd specifically point to Xiu Xiu's albumsAngel Guts: Red ClassroomGirl With Basket of Fruit, and Ignore Grief (here linking the songs that to me sound the like the best examples)

and Lingua Ignota's Caligula and Sinner Get Ready in particular (again linking some prime examples but recommending the full albums)

I feel some similarities between Scott's latter works and Swans' revival era.

For that matter, I can definitely hear a lot of early Swans influences in Scott’s later works. There’s a lot of similarities - both sonically and thematically - between Tilt and Children of God.

Now, I don’t recall Scott ever talked about Swans, but he was an admirer of industrial avant-garde bands like Fuckhead, so I’d be surprised if he never gave the no wave scene a listen.

I remember Jarboe talking fondly about Scott and wishing she had the opportunity to collaborate with him. I can hear a late Scott influence.

Edit: it’s not on youtube (maybe on Spotify but I don’t subscribe) but it is on apple music: Jarboe’s cover of Scott’s A Lover Loves which you can find on the 30th Century Man documentary soundtrack album

Opeth were very influenced by The Drift for one album, St Vincent

Xiu Xiu

Shearwater’s The Great Awakening was influenced by Scott. I hear mid career, from Nite Flights to Climate and the beginnings of his mature period Tilt in there.

David Bowie

Brian Eno

Jarvis Cocker

Bowie, obviously! Especially Outside, which started as “what if Climate of Hunter had a follow up?”

Jane Siberry must have been mainlining Climate of Hunter when she was putting this album together.
