Pop would occasionally - back when his fingers were nimbler - slip into a little boogie woogie. He loved the sound.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:13pm
Funky16Corners:

↳ doctorjazz @3:10
Thanks, Doc. I'm getting into the years when losing friends and family of that generation is more routine than shocking.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:14pm
Jeff Ash:

Boogie woogie was the rock 'n' roll of 1946, when my dad filled the jukebox with 45s at the enlisted men's club he ran in postwar Germany.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:15pm
Funky16Corners:

↳ Jeff Ash @3:14
A lot of it has genuine rock and roll energy. A big influence, like jump jazz/blues
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:16pm

I bought my Akai reel to reel at an estate sale. The person owned a store that sold and repaired TV's and home entertainment equipment back in the 1950's and 60's. It was unused and still had the original owners manual and tags on it. Cost me a dollar. Works great!
