Irish influencer Sophie Murray was visibly emotional after a sweet surprise from her future sister-in-law Georgie Crawford over the weekend.
Late last month, Sophie announced her engagement to long-term beau Sam Donovan, while the pair were holidaying in Australia.
Following the announcement, the happy couple have been inundated with love, with Sam’s sister Georgie going above and beyond for the soon to be newlyweds.
On Sunday, Sophie shared an adorable video from wellness guru Georgie’s daughter’s christening, featuring an engagement cake gifted by her future sister-in-law.
The white heart-shaped cake had ‘engaged’ written in cursive writing across the top of it, with Sophie and Sam seemingly overjoyed by the sweet gesture.
The couple have been together for almost six years having met at Electric Picnic in 2018.
In a new video posted to her YouTube channel this week, Sophie shared some details from her ‘dream engagement.’
Starting the video, Sophie said: ‘Sam proposed on the 11th [April], but we just kept it to ourselves, we were in our own little bubble for a while before putting it up.’
Showing her ring to the camera, she said: ‘The ring first of all, I just can’t cope with her, she’s a toi et moi which has been my dream ring always.’
‘I was always like when I’m proposed to I want the ring, I always thought I’d love Sam’s touch, I want him in it.’
‘So I told him [Sam] a year ago and I knew he was not near proposing poi yet but we had been together four or five years at that stage, so I was like “You know what babe? I’m just gonna send you a few pics of Toi et Moi’s just so you know what to do whenever you feel like it”.’
‘He knew I wanted a Toi et Moi but I told him “You do you with it, you pick the cuts, you pick the shapes, the band, everything”- so he really did this all on his own, I am so impressed.’
‘It’s a pear and a cushion [diamond] on a beautiful gold band and she has a beautiful raising.’
Moving on to the day of the proposal, Sophie explained: ‘So there’s the video of him proposing but all day we were sunbathing and drinking Pina Colada by the pool, we were in Qualia in Hamilton Island, it was an absolute dream.’
‘I just love that he proposed to me there because before we went to Australia I said, “If we don’t go to Whitsundays, I’m not going, I have to go up there” and Sam was like “yep, dream destination” so we booked it.’
‘He said he didn’t plan on doing it there, he originally planned to do it at the end of the trip but we were just having such a gorgeous day and it was our last day in Qualia.’
‘So we were by the pool all day drinking pina coladas and having a gorge day and I was like I need to shoot this Sarah Ashcroft’s SLA the Label outfit later.’
‘So then he went over by the grass and I was like “Why are you on the grass, come back and sunbathe with me”, but he was sussing out where he wanted to do it, because I think he was like |Okay well I’ve got to do it if she’s going to be wearing that outfit”.’
Revealing her shock at the proposal, Sophie added; ‘I didn’t even look at the ring in the first minute, I didn’t even get any words out in the first minute- he had to be like “Is that a yes?” I was just in such disbelief.’
‘I said yes of course and I finally looked at the ring and I was like “What the f**k” I still can’t get over her, she is BEYOND my wildest expectations.’
