Prithviraj Sukumaran addressed the long-standing speculations surrounding the revival of the shelved project, 'Arival Chuttika Nakshathram,' featuring Mammootty in the lead role.
Putting an end to the rumours, Prithviraj confirmed during promotions of ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ that the period drama, which was expected to mark a collaboration between the two megastars and filmmaker Amal Neerad, is no longer feasible.

Initially, as announced in 2012, 'Arival Chuttika Nakshathram' garnered much attention for its promising premise set against the backdrop of a Kerala hill station in the pre-independence era. However, the project faced setbacks during its pre-production stages, ultimately leading to its shelving due to budget and logistical constraints.
Prithviraj elaborated on the film's compelling concept but asserted that its revival is impractical given the emergence of similar-themed projects in recent years.
While addressing speculation about future collaborations with Mammootty, Prithviraj hinted at a potential project but cited the veteran actor's busy schedule as a hindrance. Prithviraj’s previous collaboration with Mammootty was for the film ‘Pokkiri Raja’.
Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran gears up for the release of 'Gurvayoor Ambalanadayil' on May 16. Directed by the ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jay Hey’ fame Vipin Das, ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ is touted to be a completely fun entertainer and the actors Basil Joseph and Nikhila Vimal will be also seen playing pivotal roles in the movie.
