Established in 1897, Togetsutei Ryokan is a traditional Kyoto inn nestled at the southern foot of Togetsukyo Bridge, making it an ideal base for exploring the Sagano scenic area.

In Arashiyama, a place of scenic beauty renowned throughout Japan, Togetsutei stands at the southern foot of Togetsukyo Bridge. This long-established culinary inn boasts a rich history of over 115 years.

An ideal base for exploring the historic and romantic “Sagano Stroll,” where visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant hues of spring cherry blossoms, the verdant tapestry of new foliage in summer, the fiery embrace of autumnal leaves, and the serene beauty of winter’s snow-kissed landscapes.

Morning and evening tranquility, harmonized with nature’s symphony, soothes the soul, transporting visitors back in time.

The inn’s interiors are adorned with rustic North Mountain timber, while the gentle strains of koto music and the delicate fragrance of incense evoke the essence of Kyoto’s refined elegance.
