PRINCETON, N.J. -- Junior right-hander
Colton Shaw has been named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season. The league announced the award on Monday.
Shaw threw 7.0 strong innings to earn the victory over Harvard on Saturday. The Texas native struck out six while surrendering six hits and three runs against the potent Crimson offense. Shaw previously earned Ivy Pitcher of the Week honors on April 8.
Shaw wrapped up a fantastic junior season in which he finished eighth in the conference against Ivy League opponents with a 3.75 ERA. He also finished in the top-five in wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts. The junior was also the only pitcher in the conference to throw a complete game shutout, which he did against Brown on April 27.
