Pete Davidson’s GF Madelyn Cline Attended the Met Gala With 4 of His Exes—Including Kim Kardashian & Ariana Grande

Talk about awkward! Pete Davidson‘s girlfriend Madelyn Cline walked the Met Gala red carpet moments after his exes Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Phoebe Dynevor, and Kaia Gerber.

Madelyn wore a custom Tommy Hilfiger beige collared gown with a train featuring white rosettes scattered across the bottom. Kim dressed in a custom Maison Margiela Couture metal waist-cinching dress paired with a gray sweater. Grande wore an ethereal white Loewe gown featuring a corset-style top with mosaic-like detailing that reflected light pinks and blues beneath the lights. Dynevor, for her part, donned a sheer pink Victoria Beckham tulle gown.

News broke of Pete and Madelyn’s relationship in September 2023 following Pete’s split from his Bodies, Bodies, Bodies co-star Chase Sui Wonders and Madelyn’s breakup with ex-boyfriend Jackson Guthy. “Pete and Madelyn are dating. They spent the night together at the Beverly Hills Hotel and then had breakfast together there the next morning,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “They were really low-key and kept things casual, wearing baseball hats.”

Pete was engaged to Ariana from June to October 2018. Ariana, who referenced her split from Pete in her 2018 single “Thank U Next,” opened up about the relationship in an interview with Vogue in 2019. “My friends were like, ‘Come! We’re gonna have a fun summer.’ And then I met Pete, and it was an amazing distraction,” she said. “It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic, and I loved him, and I didn’t know him. I’m like an infant when it comes to real life and this old soul, been-around-the-block-a-million-times artist. I still don’t trust myself with the life stuff.”

He dated Kim from 2021 to 2022. The couple even attended the 2022 Met Gala together, where Kim wore Marilyn Monre’s famous “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress. The two also ran into each other at the 2023 Met Gala, where they had a friendly conversation. “Pete and Kim have a lot of history between them so it was nice running into each other at the Met Gala and being able to catch up for a bit,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “He’s glad they’re both very mature and handled the breakup like adults.”

The insider added that Kim and Pete’s amicable breakup “makes things easier” for them to interact. “It’s likely the Met won’t be the last time they’re in the same room together,” the source said. The run-in also came amid the end of Pete’s relationship with Chase. “Things are going really well with him and Chase,” the source said. “[But] it wasn’t like there were any nostalgic feelings” between Pete and Kim.

Pete dated Dynevor February to August 2021. Dynevor opened up about the media attention for relationship, which she called “very surreal,” in an interview with Elle in 2023. “It just goes back to being naïve — I didn’t think anyone would care,” she said. “I was just being a young woman and dating and somehow that provokes a conversation. There were lots of hard lessons I had to learn through basically just having a personal life.”

Pete also dated Kaia from October to December 2019. He told Charlamagne Tha God in an interview in 2020 that they split due to Kaia’s age. (She was 18 at the time of the relationship.) “We were dating for a few months, and she’s very young,” Pete said. “I’m f—ng going through a lot, and it was before I was going to rehab. She shouldn’t have to worry about some dude that just has issues, she should be enjoying her work and all that other s—.” He continued of Kaia’s parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, “It just wasn’t the right place or the right time at all. Also, her parents were really helpful and stuff, so they’re all cool.”
