Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble Release Second Album ‘Couldn’t Stand The Weather’

40 years ago today (5/15/84), Stevie Ray Vaughan released his second album, Couldn’t Stand The Weather, and his second with his band Double Trouble. Selling 1,000,000 copies within five weeks of its release, the album continued Stevie’s role, where he was the preeminent blues guitarist on rock radio. Of course, the guitarist’s life would be cut short years later, but each album still holds the vault of a master.
