Eligibility/Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or related discipline
- Strong academic record (average > 8/10)
- Experience in synthetic biology, molecular biology, microbiome engineering, microbiology, or bioengineering
- Desirable: Experience with non-model bacteria, cell culture, animal models (with accreditation), tool development for non-model bacteria, anaerobic cultivation, skin physiology/disease, 3D skin models
- Competencies & skills: High motivation, ability to work independently and in a team, strong organizational skills, scientific integrity, proficiency in English
Description: Join the emerging ‘Synthetic Cell Programming’ lab led by Dr. Santos-Moreno at University Pompeu Fabra. Work on developing molecular tools to control and program non-model skin bacteria behavior, develop strains with diagnostic and therapeutic capacity, and characterize the potential of synthetic strains. Enjoy a stimulating and international research environment at the Biomedical Research Park of Barcelona (PRBB) with access to state-of-the-art facilities.
