I just tried Bing’s “Streetside” service today, and quit after a few minutes; the images are blurry, the controls are clumsy, you can’t get rid of the portion of the screen with the ugly map in it, and, perhaps most vexing of all, there’s no date for any image AND you can’t change from one date to another (“See More Dates” on Google Street view). I’m sorry, I can’t be bothered with those shortcomings.
Then I found that Apple has a service called Look Around, but, of course, you have to be an Apple user to use it.
I’m just looking for a handful- or even one- Street View type service that compares at all to Google Street View.
Some of you might wonder why I want an alternative to Google’s service if I already find it the best: reason 1) I want to see images taken on dates that Google Street View might not have (I.e., Google Street View might show images of my childhood home in 2007, 9, 12, 15, 17, and 22, but I want to see images from 2018, 19, and 20- you get the idea) and 2) If any service has any qualities or bells and whistles or just plain cool features that Google inexplicably doesn’t have, by golly I wanna know!
So basically, you’re looking for giant eyes that watch over a city?

Unfortunately, even if you had an Apple device, Apple Maps doesn’t offer the historical imagery from previous dates (yet, anyway. Apple has been in the maps business a lot less time than Google), so you can only see whatever the latest imagery is. It does provide the month and year the imagery was taken, though.
Look Around is a much smoother experience than Street View, particularly when moving from spot to spot. It gives it a bit of a 3D feel, whereas Sweet View feels more static. That’s pretty much the highlight of what Look Around offers over Street View.
Maybe your local mall has an Apple Store where you can check it out? I don’t think you’re going to find anything better than Street View and Look Around. It’s a really expensive and time consuming effort to put that stuff together.
