Robert M. and Freda D. Young OBITUARY

YOUNG, ROBERT M., YOUNG, FREDA D., Robert M. and Freda D. Young are together forever in heaven. Freda passed away on June 23, 2008 at the age of 79. Robert passed away on June 29, 2008 at the age of 81.

Freda was born in Akron, Ohio on September 23, 1928 to Carl and Mildred (Hoffman) Selzer. Freda was employed by Summit Wholesale in Akron and was a member of the North Hills Church of Christ. Robert was born in Elwood City, PA on December 29, 1926 to Robert Paul and Bessie (Tait) Young and moved to Akron as a child. He served in the US Marine Corps in WWII, serving in Iwo Jima. Robert and Freda were married in 1948. Robert retired from General Tire in Akron and was a member of the NRA. They moved to Central Florida in 1983, residing in Eustis and recently relocated to Umatilla. They are remembered by their sons, Kim (Debbie) Young of Fort Mill, SC and Rob, Jr. (Teresa) Young of Umatilla; daughters, Karen (Buster) Davis of Bolivar, OH and Debbie Young of Clermont, Robert’s sister Hazel Turner of Arizona, as well as 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. They were preceded in death by their daughter Heather Young in 1999. Arrangements are entrusted to Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Directors, Eustis, FL.
