Jean Margaret Garvey OBITUARY

GARVEY, JEAN MARGARET (SELL), 78, died suddenly on September 16, 2002 while attending a family reunion in Wheeling, WV. She was born October 24, 1923 in Cumberland, MD to the late John J. and Ellen C. (Kesler) Sell, and retired after 25 years of service to the Archdiocese of Orlando as secretary to the principal of Bishop Moore High School, Orlando, FL. She was recognized by Florida State University because of her efforts to ensure that her five children achieved college degrees after being widowed many years. Devoted mother of Mary L. Wall and Rita G. Foss of Alexandria, VA, Jean M. Woodruff of Plantation, FL, Robert M. Garvey of Woodstock, GA, and Patrick J. Garvey of Bethesda, MD; beloved sister of Ellen C. Sell and Mary Otten of Wheeling, WV, James Sell, Green Valley, AZ, Robert Sell, Willard, OH, Richard Sell, Parkersburg, WV, Thomas Sell, Clinton Township, MI, Kenneth Sell, Furlong, PA and the late Louise Mason, John L. Sell, and Donald Sell; grandmother of ten and great grandmother of three. A prayer service in her memory will be held at 4PM on Friday, October 25th at the Bishop Moore High School Chapel. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to St. Columban’s on the Lake Retirement Home, to the attention of Sister Rita Garvey, 2546 Lake Rd., Silver Creek, NY 14136.
