Producer Ritesh Sidhwani's mother passes away, cremation to be held on Saturday evening at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani's mother was admitted to Hinduja hospital. She passed away on Friday evening and many celebs were seen at the hospital to pay their last respect to her. The cremation will take place at 4 30pm today.

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani who is Farhan Akhtar's partner at Excel Entertainment, is known to back several big movies. His mother Leelu Sidhwani passed away on Friday evening and several celebs visited Ritesh to console him for his mother's demise and pay their last respect to her.
Farhan Akhtar along with his wife Shibani Dandekar were the first to visit the hospital on Friday. Javed Akhtar, filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and actors Chunky Panday, Malaika Arora, and her sister Amrita Arora were also seen arriving to offer their condolences.

The family has now released a statement confirming the demise, while they shared details about her cremation. The statement read, "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing away of Mrs. Leelu Sidhwani on May 17 2024. Prayers will be held on May 18, 2024 at Quantum Park RG level at 3.15 pm. Cremation will be held at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium at 4.30 pm. Quantum Park address: RG Level, Union Park, Khar West. Santacruz Hindu Crematorium: Dattatray Rd, near Santacruz Police Station, Shastri Nagar, Santacruz West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400054"

Meanwhile, for those not in the know, Ritesh's first movie was the 2001 iconic film 'Dil Chahta Hai'. Since then, he's constantly been with Farhan and they've made some memorable movies together - right from the 'Don' franchise, to 'Dil Dhadakne Do', to 'Gully Boy'.
Up next for them is 'Don 3' starring Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani. They've also ventured into several projects on OTT which have done remarkably well.
