As the release date for the next Bad Boys installment approaches, Will Smith is looking back.

On May 21, the actor, 55, shared a video on Instagram of himself dressed in all black as he stepped into the open front seat of a Porsche. The video then cuts to a throwback photo of himself sitting in a matching Porsche, which the actor and his costar Martin Lawrence drove in the original 1995 Bad Boys.

"Long time no see," Smith wrote in a caption. The actor even nodded to the throwback look by pairing his video with the chorus to Simple Plan's 2002 hit "I'm Just a Kid," which has emerged as a popular song for TikTok and Instagram trends in which users display childhood photos and older pictures.

"Lowrey back in action!" Porsche USA's official Instagram account commented on the video, referring to Smith's Bad Boys character Mike Lowrey. "Feels good to be reunited."

Both Smith's character Mike and 59-year-old Lawrence's character Marcus Burnett are seen driving Porsches across the Bad Boys films, which follow the pair as Miami-based detectives.

After helping to recover millions of dollars worth of stolen drugs and investigating various elements of organized crime around the city in the series' first three entries, released between 1995 and 2020, a synopsis for Bad Boys: Ride or Die teases that the pair "are back with their iconic mix of edge-of-your seat action and outrageous comedy but this time with a twist: Miami's finest are now on the run."
