Tours

We are interested in a tour of Turkey with Exoticca. Just wondering if, when on these sorts of tours, people tend to all sit together at breakfast in the hotels. My husband and I are not very sociable lol and would not like this. Thanks.

I haven’t toured with Exoticca but have in the past been on other tours, with other tour operators.

In my experience it is mixed. Given breakfast is often dependant on when people rise and what they want to eat, you might find lower numbers from the group. Restaurants in hotels might reserve a group table but equally you can probably sit elsewhere on your own. At lunch or dinner we found it was typically set up by restaurant spots or in hotels with a few large tables for the tour group.

Touring as an organised group is quite a social thing. I am sure by the end of your holiday you will have made friends with many co-tourers.

I have taken a few organised bus tours and at breakfast time it's been open seating. I haven't had many dinners included, so mostly I've done my own thing and occasionally I've got together with others I get along with for a more social experience.

There has usually been at least one group dinner though. This has been at the start or end of the trip, sometimes both, and I felt it was easier to just attend than to try and miss it.
