Daniel Craig had a pretty successful run as James Bond across his five movies, capped with that genuinely shocking ending to No Time to Die.
It's easy to forget that not everybody was on board with his casting as 007, but Casino Royale swiftly put those fears to bed with a refreshingly gritty and intense take on the classic super spy.
For some fans, Craig's best Bond movie might be Skyfall – released to mark the 50th anniversary of the franchise – or his explosive finale No Time to Die. But for us, it remains Casino Royale for just how brilliantly it launched his take on 007.
If you fancy a rewatch (or have actually never seen it), Casino Royale is now available to watch on ITV's streaming service ITVX for the next 30 days, following its airing last night (May 11) on ITV1.

You can also watch hour-long documentary Being James Bond, which sees Craig reflect on his 15 years as Bond.
Since March, ITV has been treating fans to weekly airings of James Bond movies across the series. You can currently also watch Sean Connery outings You Only Live Twice and Thunderball, as well as Roger Moore's Live and Let Die.
As for who the next James Bond will be, we're no closer to finding out despite the heavy rumours linking Aaron Taylor-Johnson to the iconic role.
One person who seems to have ruled himself out is Henry Cavill, who famously was in contention for the role in Casino Royale.
However, he now thinks he might be "too old" to be handed his licence to kill: "Maybe I'm too old now, maybe I'm not. It's up to [producers] Barbara Broccoli and Mike Wilson and we'll see what their plans are."
