American Idol has produced some successful singers and careers over the years, but it might be surprising to fans just which alums have amassed the largest net worths.

A new batch of hopefuls has been working to compete for their own chance at glory, besting critiques about their performances, especially as fan-favorites fall. 

With the competition now down to just five remaining contestants, all have a chance at being crowned the winner–or finding additional success even if they don’t win the show.

While they likely won’t have a chance at amassing the kind of wealth show host Ryan Seacrest has, they could find themselves catching up to the other famous alums who have done well after the show.

10 alums in particular have managed to garner net worths in the millions.

Season five of American Idol saw Taylor Hicks win the competition–but he was far from the most successful person to come from his season,

Kellie Pickler, who came in sixth, has the 10th highest net worth of alums, coming in at $4 million. 

After the show, she found success in country music, with hit songs like Red High Heels. However, her biggest fame came from the talk show Pickler & Ben, as well as her career as an actress, specifically in Hallmark movies.

Movies for the network include The Mistletoe Secret, Wedding at Graceland and Christmas at Graceland.

Elliott Yamin was another Season five alum who found major success after coming in third that season. He has an estimated net worth of $6 million, though his career has been quieter since his hit song, Wait For You, in 2007.

Chris Daughtry, who came in fourth during that season, is now estimated to be worth $8 million, and has had a massive career, full of massive acclaim, hit songs and records, and even Grammy nominations.

However, the most successful Season five alum is Katharine McPhee, who was the runner-up. She currently has a $14 million net worth.

Her music career has seen her flourish with both single records and tracks with husband David Foster, but she has also had major success as an actress. Her biggest successes were Scorpion and Smash.

Despite not making it very far in either Seasons nine or 11, Lauren Daigle has managed to make a successful career for herself regardless. Now worth $6 million, the Christian singer has also won two Grammy Awards.

Jennifer Hudson has arguably become one of the greatest successes from the show, despite placing seventh in her season. Her biggest claim to date is her Academy Award win for Best Supporting Actress for Dreamgirls.

Today, she has her own talk show, The Jennifer Hudson Show, and is worth an estimated $30 million.

Adam Lambert rounds out the list of alums who didn’t win, but found major success. Now worth an estimated $35 million, the Season eight runner-up went on to a successful career in pop/rock music and acting, while also becoming the touring frontman with Queen.

Jordin Sparks is one of the few actual American Idol winners who has found success, winning Season six. She currently has a net worth of $8 million, earned mostly from her hit songs like No Air and Battlefield, acting roles and endorsement deals. She also had her own fragrance line.

Joining her with successful winners is Kelly Clarkson, the OG Idol. Her incredibly successful music career is still going strong, with 17 total Grammy nominations, including three wins. She has also won Daytime Emmy Awards for her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. She also served as a coach of The Voice. 

Her net worth is $45 million.

However, the most successful winner to date has been Carrie Underwood, who took the title in Season Four.
