“Love is in the air” for 86-year-old actor Dustin Hoffman and his 69-year-old wife, Lisa, who this week made a rare public appearance.
The couple attended a dinner in London hosted by Corinthia London to celebrate the recent announcement of the inclusion of the Best Casting category at the Oscars.
And while the actor’s wife was very stylish, his youthful appearance also attracted attention. The Hollywood legend looks much younger than his 86 years, while he never stopped smiling. He was tanned and carefree as he strolled through town and entered the restaurant with his wife of 43 years.
Dustin Hoffman is still making movies
Dustin Hoffman’s only problem appeared to be spring allergies, as according to Britain’s Hello he kept wiping his red eyes with a tissue before putting his sunglasses back on.
The great actor has yet to retire from the big screen and most recently voiced Master Shifu in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. He attended the movie premiere with Lisa and two of their adorable grandchildren.
Dustin Hoffman has two children with his ex-wife, Anne Byrne, and four with 69-year-old Lisa. Lisa – who is an entrepreneur in the cosmetics industry – previously said: ‘Our priority was to be with the children. Even if we had a social obligation later, we would have dinner with the kids first and then go out. We all still love being around the table together.”
She also joked about her marriage to her famous husband when she told the Telegraph: “I say marriage in Hollywood is like dog years, so you have to multiply it by 7.”
Lisa also told Closer Weekly: “Marriage is a very difficult business. “We work hard for it. I knew I was going to end up with Dusty and my life was going to be with him.”
They have known each other for many years, as Dustin’s mother knew Lisa’s grandmother, but they didn’t meet until they both attended a family party when he was 27 and she was 10.
Lisa remembers that day fondly, telling the Daily Mail in 2007: “Dustin told us jokes, played the piano and encouraged me to dance in the living room. After we got together, my grandmother reminded me that later that day I had said, ‘I hope he’s waiting for me because I want to marry him.'”
