When you enter the old town from bear park, on the main street you would see a nice well architected Monument and fountain n the middle of the mail street which is so beautiful with a history background

Schutzenbrunnen is in Bern & on the old town main street. Above a small fountain, a statue depicts a marksman holding a banner & a bear aiming a firearm. The fountain is nice & the statue is nice too. It's near the old clock tower. This is a part of the Bern city tour.

They are all beautiful and interesting. In the early 90's, the sound of the water fountains in Bern remembered you how bored can be a traditional Swiss city on Sunday's afternoon. Today the activity have change and I cannot say if by nostalgy or by age, I miss now the old times where the only noise of the downtown was reduced to their water falling in those not too cold days

The marksman finally found its mark or permanent home here in the old city by the clock tower/prison tower. It once was outside the marksmen's association and the gun barrel held by the small bear was pointed at the entrance!
