WWE has been hosting major PLEs in Saudi Arabia since their agreement back in 2018.

WWE has built a highly compelling and strategic relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that first came into existence in 2018 and has been growing significantly over the years with one or two Premium Live Events and other experiences.

Moreover, they have continued the tradition with the year 2024 as well with WWE gearing up to host their next PLE on May 25 at the Jeddah Superdome, in Jeddah Saudi Arabia, titled WWE King and Queen of the Ring with the finals of the name-sake tournament taking place at the event alongside other top-caliber matches.

With a formidable history formed among the two entities and more endeavors to come in the future, here is a look at the best WWE PLEs in Saudi Arabia:

5. WWE Greatest Royal Rumble 2018

The inaugural sight of the relationship between WWE and Saudi Arabia was the ‘Greatest Royal Rumble’ event held at the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah in 2018. The show saw a 50-man Royal Rumble match that set records, saw an array of stars compete and witnessed Braun Strowman emerging as the winner.

Moreover, other highlighting matches on the card saw John Cena battle Triple H, Undertaker emerging victorious over Rusev in a casket match, and Brock Lesnar controversially retaining his title over Roman Reigns in a Steel Cage match.

4. WWE SuperShowdown 2019

Returning a year later to the same sight as the Greatest Royal Rumble, WWE SuperShowdown marked an important event for the WWE. One of them is due to Triple H wrestling his final match in front of a live audience at a PLE against Randy Orton. Another key point for the event was Saudi’s own Mansoor winning a huge 51-man Battle Royal in a memorable moment.

However, the most anticipated part of this show was the first-ever showdown between two legendary figures, The Undertaker and Goldberg, although the match was poorly delivered and failed to live up to its expectations.

3. WWE Crown Jewel 2021

The second edition of WWE Crown Jewel 2021 took place in 2021 at the Mohammed Abdu Arena in Riyadh. The event was headlined by multiple marquee matches such as a huge triple threat match between Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and Sasha Banks, a clash of the powerhouses between Goldberg and Bobby Lashley, and the coronation of the first-ever queen of WWE, Zelina Vega as part of the Queen’s Crown tournament.

However, the main headliner saw ‘The Tribal Chief’ version of Roman Reigns defending his World Championship against ‘Cowboy’ Brock Lesnar in one of the most interesting and enthralling matches in their storied rivalry.

2. WWE Elimination Chamber 2022

The first-ever edition of the WWE Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia was held in 2022 at the Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah. The event featured two Elimination Chamber matches with Bianca Belair retaining her title and Brock Lesnar winning the WWE championship in the process.

The event also saw a clash of the generations match between Becky Lynch and Lita, and the headliner of the show was Roman Reigns clashing against Goldberg with the WWE Universal Title at stake.

1. WWE Night of Champions 2023

Much like the WWE Elimination Chamber, the first-ever WWE Night of Champions in 2023 in Jeddah was also a historic event for the country of Saudi Arabia. The show saw Seth Rollins being crowned as the first-ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Becky Lynch’s first-ever clash against Trish Stratus, and the second bout between Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes, making it a star-studded event.

Furthermore, the event marked the 1000th day of Roman Reigns’ historic title reign but also saw him and Solo Sikoa failing to win the WWE Undisputed tag team championships from Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens and ended with a shocking betrayal from Jimmy Uso.
