Naomi Campbell was snapped attending the screening of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday, May 15.

Eagle-eyed fashion fans were quick to note that the supermodel wore a gown from Chanel's 1997 Couture archive - a dress that she originally modelled at the Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 1996-1997 fashion show during the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.

Walking the red carpet with stylist Law Roach, a man famed for his incredible work with Zendaya, the 53-year-old re-wore the Karl Lagerfeld design to perfection.

Taken from the Mouna Ayoub 1996-1997 Haute Couture Collection, the eye-catching dress features four pearl straps sitting along the shoulders and alternating sheer and sequin stripes. A daring design that was originally worn over fitted denim jeans.

To modernise the look, Roach ditched the jeans and styled the dress with simple black stilettoes and dazzling drop earrings, while the model's glam team provided a stylist natural part and a soft glam smokey eye.

There has been a recent upsurge of celebrities wearing archival looks, whether it be Sydney Sweeney wearing an archival Marc Brouwer dress (once worn by Angelina Jolie) to the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party, Zendaya making headlines in Mugler's 1995 robot one-piece at the Dune 2 premiere, or Margot Robbie wearing Vivienne Westwood's 1998 'Pirate Bride' gown to the 2024 AACTA Awards.

We can't wait to see which treasure is unearthed next.
