They say souls come to this world in different forms and journeys to learn important lessons. In our story, souls go back to a place where they are redistributed to start their new lives. Two souls—a man and a woman—who happened to be married in a previous life met at that place and barely recognized each other. Each of them was being prepared to be sent to their new life when a mistake happened. Each of them was sent into the other soul's life. One was supposed to be sent to a poor family, and the other was going to be sent to a family with money and power. You can grab The Perfect Life by Anne Callahan to see what happened to both of them, living a life away from the drawn course for them. You can also see if their fates will intertwine.

What I like about the book is that it got me thinking about the ideas it offered. The idea of reincarnation is intriguing, and I still haven't formed an opinion yet. I also thought of the idea of the soul choosing its life and how that would be. You'll also follow the adapting people sometimes have to do through their lives.

I listened to the audio version of the book. I don't have a certain comment on the editing, but I didn't notice any mistakes. The thing is that the writer is the one who did the narration of the book. I would expect more of her, as she's offering her own book and ideas to the world. The narration felt monotonic, and I lost concentration many times. I had to go back and replay on many occasions. It was like someone was reading in a hurry without being involved in the events. This is the impression I got listening to the book. Audiobooks are supposed to be in the background of something. It may be a walk, a drive, or some chores. I felt I needed my whole focus, and it bothered me. I'm not sure if it would be the same experience for everyone, but this is mine.

The book introduces a different idea and discusses some nice topics. The reincarnation part is only in the beginning, and there are some hints throughout the book. The rest of it focused on the stories of the characters and how things developed. The narration greatly affected my experience. Therefore, I rate The Perfect Life by Anne Callahan four out of five stars. I recommend the book to people who are interested in reincarnation and adaptation in life.
