Help with October Itinerary

Hello TA Friends and Travel Experts,

We are planning on traveling from Budapest, Hungary (public transportation) to Croatia this October. There will be 4 adults in their 50s and 60s and we will be in Croatia for about 11 days. We like culture, meeting new people, learning about the local activities and exploring cafes, museums, churches, pedestrian culture etc... We live in a state with a lot of natural beauty but not a lot of going on as far as city life and culture.

We will be traveling in Croatia from the north to the south on buses and trains and then continuing on to Bosnia and Herzogovina (Sarajevo).

We would love any tweaks you can recommend to our tentative itinerary. If you think we should split our time differently please let us know. We are open to all ideas.

2 nights Zagreb

Daytrip tour from Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes and then on to Zadar (same day)

3 nights Zadar

3 nights Split or Hvar (not sure if we should stay in Split with daytrip to Hvar or visa versa)

3 nights Dubrovnik

Any thoughts or ideas you have on how to best spend our time would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
