This 1960 Mastertone Banjo boasts a mahogany neck and resonator, adorned with two concentric rings. Its features include a distinctive Bow-tie fingerboard inlay, a bound Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, a "Mastertone" block preceding the last fret, and a bound peghead embellished with crown inlay and a "Gibson" logo in pearl. While most of its original tuners and tailpiece remain intact, one tuner has been replaced, and two benders have been added, skillfully drilled into the headstock. Despite its age, this banjo remains in good condition, displaying natural signs of play wear. Notably, there are a couple of stable cracks on the side of the resonator. Renowned for its powerful and solid sound, this Mastertone is a true gem.
