Antrim certainly put the cat among the pigeons when they overcame Wexford in their most recent match in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship and they aim to claim another significant scalp when they meet Dublin on Saturday at Parnell Park (4.00pm).

The Saffrons turned on the style against Wexford and players such as Niall McKenna, Seaan Elliott, Gerard Walsh, Conal Cunning and James McNaughton will be expected to set the tone for their performance.

Dublin, though, will wish to maximise their home advantage and are likely to lean on Fergal Whitely, Eoghan O’Donnell, Danny Sutcliffe and Conor Burke in their push for victory.

Meanwhile, Derry hurlers will bid to remain very much in the hunt for the Christy Ring Cup when they confront London at Owenbeg on Saturday (1.00pm).

Having won two of their three games to date, Johnny McGarvey’s side are keeping their eyes on the silverware with their manager insisting that victory over London would further cement his side’s claim for honours.

Tyrone for their part will have a tough battle on their hands against Kildare.

Red Hands manager Stephen McGarry will be urging his side to put an extra spring in their step for what he sees as a crucial test. Sean Duffin, Joe McToal, Tiernan Morgan and Sean Og Grugan can help to inspire the team.

Armagh, meanwhile, go to Castlebar where they will meet Mayo in the Nicky Rackard Cup (1.00pm).

Alex O’Boyle has been a revelation in terms of scoring since his introduction to the Orchard County line-up and he is capable of troubling the Mayo rearguard.

Also in the Nicky Rackard Cup, Roscommon will host Donegal at Dr Hyde Park (1.00pm) while Monaghan and Louth will cross swords at Inniskeen (2.00pm).
