Nessa dissertação, pretendo me concentrar e construir narrativas visuais baseadas na descoberta das africanidades Igbo através de trabalhos realizados em poéticas visuais, sob a compreensão de como o silenciamento das expressões negro-africanas tornaram o povo preto estrangeiro a sua própria origem. E sob o contexto acadêmico, o levante de discussões sobre as exclusões e ausências da arte negro-africana na história universal da arte/academia. Fato e resquício da missão civilizatória, resultando em uma política de embranquecimento multicamada e no ocultamento de ideais e potenciais africanos. Esse trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar, também por meio da escrita do artista-pesquisador, produções de contra memórias para registrar o processo de retomada de reconhecimentos, identidade e negritude, criando narrativas conceituais, ritualísticas e afetivas de origem Igbo, inspirada nas dimensões sagradas com o símbolo-mãe, a máscara Ijele. Fica posta, nessa dissertação, uma promoção ao Sankofa e as extensões afro-atlânticas com o olhar atento à região de Igboland na Nigéria como ponto de continuidade, nutrindo imaginários, atravessamentos e produzindo sentidos para a (re)habitação de memórias, identidades, personalidades coletivas e orgulhos.

This master thesis I intend to focus on and build visual narratives based on the discovery of Igbo africanities through works carried out in visual arts, under the understanding of how the silencing of black African expressions occurred by the black people foreign to their own origin. And under the academic context, the uprising of debates about the exclusions and absences of black African art in the universal history of art/academy. Fact and remnant of the civilizing mission, resulting in a multi-layered whitening policy and the concealment of African ideals and potentials. This work also aims to present, through the writing of the artist-researcher, productions of counter- memories to register the process of resuming recognition, identity and blackness, creating conceptual, ritualistic and affective narratives of Igbo origin, inspired by the sacred dimensions with the mother symbol, the Ijele mask. This dissertation proposes a promotion of Sankofa and the Afro-Atlantic extensions with an attentive look at the region of Igbolândia in Nigeria as a point of continuity, nurturing imaginaries, crossings and producing meanings for the (re)inhabitation of memories, identities, collective personalities and pride.
