The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev hospitalised after bike accident ‘Long road to recovery’
Actress Nina Dobrev, best known for The Vampire Diaries, has received support from concerned fans after revealing she sustained severe injuries in a bike accident.
The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev revealed she has been hospitalised after a bike accident, assuring fans she’s “okay”.
On Monday, May 20, the actress took to Instagram to share a before and after post following the crash.
In the first picture, Nina smiled while sitting on an electric bike, while in the second she lay on a hospital bed after appearing to have sustained multiple injuries.
The star of The CW's hit drama was wearing a neck brace and another brace on her knee and seemed to be hooked up to an IV drip.
Nina, 35, still appeared to be in good spirits and captioned the post “how it started vs how it’s going”, adding a bandaged emoji.

She later took to her Instagram Stories with an update for worried fans.
“I’m okay but it’s going to be a long road of recovery ahead,” she said.
In a later Story she added: “I think it’s safe to say my first time on a dirt bike will also be my last lol.”

Hundreds of fans took to the comments of her post to wish her a speedy recovery, with many making light-hearted Vampire Diaries jokes.
“You need some vampire blood,” one follower teased. And another quipped: “nina you're not a vampire.”
Some famous pals also added well wishes, including Julianne Hough who said: “That’s my girl! Obviously wouldn’t make jokes if you were not okay…”
Her Vampire Diaries co-star Sophia Bush added: “Nooooo! You poor babe.”
And her Olympian snowboarder boyfriend Shaun White joked: “Just keeping things on brand.”
Shaun, 37, recently opened up about completing his bucket list with Nina after retiring from snowboarding.
“It’s been really fun having time together. Normally I’m off competing and she’s shooting a project or something … but now we’ve got some time together,” he told Us Weekly.
“It’s been fun. We went to Antarctica, Dubai, visited her mom in France, went to Monaco, went to Indonesia. We’ve kind of been all over.”
