What: Annual commencement ceremony at Palomar College.

Where: Football Practice Field Palomar College – 1140 W. Mission Road, San Marcos, CA 92069

Details: – Palomar College presents its annual commencement exercises held on Friday, May 24, at 5:00 p.m. on
the football practice field at the college’s main campus in San Marcos. Dr. Star Rivera-Lacey, Superintendent/President of the Palomar Community College District, will preside over the ceremony.

This year’s keynote speaker will be the 2022-23 Distinguished Faculty Member, Elizabeth “Besty”Pain who teaches archaeology and anthropology at Palomar. The college’s Alumnus of the Year,Anton Greenville, will also speak to the 2024 graduating class. Mr. Greenville, now a senior vice president at a major construction firm, got his start in the business through an apprenticeship program he took more than 40 years ago at Palomar College. He has been particularly involved in the Palomar College Foundation’s annual golf tournament, which raises more than $100,000 a year to help remove financial barriers for students.

Approximately 450 students are expected to participate in the ceremony, with a total number of 4,600 degrees and certificates approved in the 2023-24 academic year.

Families and friends are welcome to attend the ceremony.

Parking: Free parking will be available in Lots 1 and 2 off of Mission Road and in the parking structure which is accessible off of Avenida Azul.
