Maryland’s Senate race has featured massive spending on both sides. Rep. David Trone (D), the multimillionaire owner of Total Wine & More, has shattered multiple records for self-funding primary campaigns. His biggest primary foe is Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks, who has the support of the state’s top Democrats. On the Republican side, former governor Larry Hogan's campaign has drawn in substantial funds from national GOP players who believe Hogan’s popularity could flip the seat in their favor. This race will be one to watch in November.
