Summary

  • Omega's future is hinted at in an Ahsoka season 1 Easter egg.
  • The Easter egg shows Omega and Jyn Erso's dolls, suggesting they met the Rebels crew.
  • Omega could appear in the upcoming Ahsoka season.

One blink-and-you-miss-it Star Wars: The Bad Batch Easter egg in Ahsoka season 1 may have confirmed Omega's Star Wars future months before the Bad Batch season 3 ending. The Bad Batch concluded the arcs of the clone troopers, Clone Force 99 in particular, yet the show's finale heavily hinted that Omega's story isn't over in Star Wars movies and TV shows. Instead, The Bad Batch season 3's final scene suggested Omega will be returning in an exciting era in the Star Wars timeline, and a key Easter egg may have confirmed it.

Incredibly, one sharp fan spotted an image of Omega's doll, Lula, from The Bad Batch and Jyn Erso's doll, Starrie, from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in a painting by Sabine Wren in episode 1 of Ahsoka. Posted by Blacklight_21 on X, the image shows myriad recognizable iconography from Star Wars Rebels, from Purrgil to Chopper, but both Omega's and Jyn's dolls can be seen in the upper right-hand corner.

However, this Easter egg could be much more than just a fun nod to other Star Wars characters; based on the conclusion of The Bad Batch, this could very well mean Omega met the Rebels crew.

The Bad Batch left Omega’s future unclear, meaning her story isn’t finished yet—so what other Star Wars titles could Omega & the Batch appear in next?

Does This Confirm Omega Met The Rebels Crew?

The Bad Batch season 3 ended in a shocking time jump, revealing an adult Omega and a much older Hunter. Perhaps even more surprising, Omega was leaving to join the Rebellion in the final scene, suggesting that, although The Bad Batch has concluded, Omega's Star Wars story may be continuing in a future Star Wars project. Now, with this Easter egg seemingly confirming that Sabine Wren has met both Jyn Erso and Omega, that path forward may already have been revealed—nine months ago.

Assuming Omega did join the Rebellion, it's entirely possible she crossed paths with the Rebels crew. While that wasn't depicted at any point in Rebels, Ghost crew members Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, and Ezra Bridger already appeared in Ahsoka season 1 and will presumably return in the upcoming Ahsoka season 2. In light of that, Ahsoka's next season would be the perfect opportunity to bring Omega back to the Star Wars galaxy, revealing what Omega's role in the Rebellion had been.

Assuming Omega did join the Rebellion, it's entirely possible she crossed paths with the Rebels crew.

Although this Easter egg isn't definitive proof that Omega joined the Rebels and met Sabine, all signs currently point to that possibility, and The Bad Batch certainly left the door wide open for Omega's future Star Wars appearance. Ahsoka would also be the perfect show for Omega to join, as meeting Ahsoka Tano would offer Omega an opportunity to connect with someone from the Clone Wars era. Whether Omega is set to appear in Ahsoka season 2 or not, though, this adorable Star Wars: The Bad Batch Easter egg has thrilling implications for Star Wars.
