FK Partizan accepted the invitation to take part in a tournament taking place in Moscow, July 2024. Event organizers, football clubs CSKA Moscow and Dynamo Moscow, have friendly relations for years and they decided to invite their “football brothers” for a tournament this summer – CSKA invited Partizan while Dynamo did the same with OFK Beograd.
Tournament will be played as follows: Belgrade teams will play against Moscow sides and pick points for their city. Partizan will play Dynamo at VTB Arena on 3rd of July and final game of the tournament against CSKA Moscow on 7th of July.
Straight-out wins are worth three points while 90-minute draw means there will be a straight-out penalty shoot-out with winner of penalty series winning two points while defeated team gains one point.
Organizers stated tournament will also promote Serbian music, culture and cuisine with an option of souvenir purchases and exchanges. It will be a festival of sport, football, friendship and tradition.
Promotion of tournament was staged in Moscow, on Monday 13th of May. Former Partizan, now CSKA midfielder, Sasa Zdjelar, was among those who addressed the media reps.
“I`m thrilled to meet with my former clubs Partizan and OFK Beograd again. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to meet on a football field, for me to see my old friends once again”, said Zdjelar.
FK Partizan Marketing Director Dragan Velanac expressed his expectations too.
“I would like to thank you on this invitation on behalf of Partizan. This is a great opportunity for us to play excellent teams such as CSKA and Dynamo Moscow. Of course, there will be a true football battle on the field while off the pitch we will extend our friendship during the tournament. I send greetings to everyone in Russia and Moscow, eagerly awaiting our arrival onto the tournament”, said Velanac.
Towards the end of the promo event, organizers send the message to everyone in Serbia:
-Serbian friends, we have a celebration of football coming up! For this occasion, we would like to call on great number of fans to come to Moscow and enjoy in brotherly tournament. Our aim is to strengthen friendly relations with or brotherly club Partizan, for all of us to get ready for the new season as much as possible.
