Poetry Forever by Your Side

This a follow up poem of the story after this scene. Bound by Honor, Freed by Love

Forever by Your Side

In a grand cathedral, where love's light shines bright,
A princess and her knight, a most enchanting sight.
The knight, once a prince, now stands tall and strong,
A protector, a mentor, where he truly belongs.

The princess, a vision in her gown of purest white,
Radiant and stunning, a breathtaking delight.
Her delicate hand in his, so small and sweet,
As they walk down the aisle, their hearts in perfect beat.

The knight, battle-forged, with scars and mighty frame,
A lord of valor, in regalia, his nobility proclaim.
Yet gentleness and love, in his eyes so clear,
A father's warmth and comfort, forever near.

The princess, she feels so small, beside her knight so grand,
Her heart once wished, he'd be her groom, her man.
But as they walk, hand in hand, a realization dawns,
A father's love, unconditional, forever her heart warms.

Beneath her veil, tears of joy and gratitude,
For the Lord above, who granted her this interlude.
A father figure, so strong and true,
No other way, she'd have it, she knew.

The knight, he feels her hand, so delicate and small,
Like a daughter's touch, a precious moment to recall.
His heart swells with pride, a love beyond words,
A gift from God, a blessing he never thought he deserved.

His eyes glisten in the morning sun, a burden lifted,
No longer weighted by scars, his soul finally gifted.
The Lord's love, a balm to heal his heart,
A love that sets him free, a brand new start.

The knight's steps grow lighter, his heart unburdened,
As he guides his princess, his love for her untethered.
Though he may never find, a bride to call his own,
He's content with this moment, a bond that's grown.

As they reach the throne, where the prince awaits,
The crowned heir, to the kingdom's gates.
In regal splendor, he stands with love and pride,
Ready to claim his princess, his beloved bride.

The knight gives her hand, to her betrothed, her love,
A silent prayer, a father's blessing from above.
For happiness and love, in all she'll do,
As she joins her life, with the prince so true.

The princess and her knight, a bond unbreakable,
A love so deep, a tale most remarkable.
Though not joined in marriage, their hearts entwine,
A father and daughter, in love divine.

And as the vows are spoken, and rings exchanged,
The knight stands tall, his heart forever changed.
For in this moment, he's found his true role,
A father to a princess, a love that makes him whole.

The knight's eyes shine with pride and joy,
As he watches his princess, no longer a boy.
His love for her has transformed him, made him anew,
A man of honor, a father so true.

So let the bells ring out, and joyous tears be shed,
For a princess and her knight, a love that's never fled.
A bond beyond the earthly, a connection so rare,
A father and daughter, in God's loving care.

And as the newlyweds, a future king and queen,
Begin their life together, a love serene.
The knight, now a father, proud and true,
Knows his princess has found, a love that's pure and new.
