BIRMINGHAM – The UAB football team has announced its promotional schedule for the upcoming 2024 season which kicks off on Aug. 29 and features six home games at Protective Stadium.
 
8/29 vs. Alcorn State – Party at Protective
9/28 vs. Navy – Kids Takeover Day/Extra Yard for Teachers
10/5 vs. Tulane – Family Weekend
11/2 vs. Tulsa – Homecoming
11/9 vs. UConn – Salute to Service
11/23 vs. Rice – Senior Day/Fan Appreciation
 
For the sixth time in the last seven years, UAB will open the season at home on a Thursday night. It will be a party at Protective Stadium to kick off the college football season featuring $5 domestic drink specials and ticket offers for local businesses and large group outings.
 
The season opener will also provide an opportunity for first year UAB students to lead the Blazers out of the tunnel.
 
UAB opens AAC play by welcoming Navy on Sept. 28 for Kids Takeover Day. All youth sports organizations are encouraged to bring their teams to Protective Stadium to watch the Blazers take on the Midshipmen, which will also be the second annual Smile-A-Mile game. Additionally, UAB will honor all local Birmingham educators through the Extra Yard for Teachers initiative in conjunction with the College Football Playoff.
 
The two-time defending AAC regular season champs Tulane visit Birmingham the following week, Oct. 5, for Family Weekend. In addition to family friendly ticket offers, information on Family Weekend festivities will be released soon.
 
Following two away games and a bye, the Blazers return to Protective Stadium on Nov. 2 for Homecoming against Tulsa. This will also be UAB's eighth annual Children's Harbor game.
 
The following weekend against UConn is Salute to Service in which UAB will honor all current and former military members, first responders and medical professionals on Nov. 9. Fans can help support through UAB's Tickets for Troops initiative by clicking here and donating a $10 ticket which will be distributed to local branches and military organizations in the area.
 
UAB concludes its home schedule on Nov. 23 against Rice for Senior Day and Fan Appreciation.
 
2024 TICKET INFORMATION
Season ticket packages for the 2024 UAB Football season are on sale now. Season ticket packages will feature all six home games during the 2024 football season and provide access to the best available seating at Protective Stadium. Group tickets and fan experience packages will be available for purchase on a first come, first served basis starting Monday, June 3. Individual and corporate groups can plan a memorable experience at any of UAB's home games this fall by filling out the UAB Football Group Ticket Request Form.
