It’s not even that. It’s their goal. Trump is just means to an end, and it’s convenient as shit he’s already knocking on death’s door. They use him to implement the system they really want. When he’s gone, they’re uninhibited in the moves they’ve wanted to make for decades. This is full on 1984 insanity and they want us to live it.

Project 2025 is a revision to that agenda tailored to a second Trump term. It would give the President unilateral powers, strip civil rights, worker protections, climate regulation, add religion into policy, outlaw "porn" and much more. The MFL has been around since 1980, Reagan implemented 60% of it's recommendations, Trump 64% - proof. 70 Heritage Foundation alumni served in his administration or transition team. Project 2025 is quite extreme but with his obsession for revenge he'll likely get past 2/3rd's adoption.

This has been a long game production that started back in the 1980’s
The propaganda machine that is conservative news only exists after the rules changed to allow news agencies to say whatever they want without being forced to tell the truth.
This long game indoctrination has been in effect since Reagan. Maga and Trump aside, (R) in general have seen that they next several generations coming of age are massively liberal and know the only way they can keep power and the dirty money funneling in is to seize power entirely.

They also ensured that the average American is dumb as possible too by removing education benchmarks and promoting a “no one left behind” agenda to ensure the dumb get no chance to learn and think for themselves.

It's not looking good for November, especially the swing states. Hope voters come to their senses by election time.
The unfortunate part is this is approximately 1/4 of the country that wants this - and they’re fucking duped into it. The rest of the country is either apathetic enough because of years of “your vote doesn’t matter” conditioning, fatigued because of the infighting, convinced that “both sides are the same” or doing what an individual can to keep this plan from coming to fruition.
There are way too many people apathetic or who think that this doesn’t really matter. A lot of people won’t understand what was at stake until it’s lost, and at that point you can’t go back without a violent rebellion, and everyone loses in that situation.
There aren’t a lot of positive paths from this point.
