Hints

On top of the pile is an England international winger who switched codes before ripping up the Premiership. Now retired, he has played for no less than six clubs and is the only player to notch up triple digits.

Just behind him is a Wasps and Leicester Tigers legend, who also played for the Bristol Bears, and held the record before the star mentioned above. However, he did not get the same recognition at international level, earning just four England caps.

A one-club Sale Sharks great features in third place, a winger who shone in the league and is still convinced he scored a try in a Rugby World Cup final.

A Harlequins legend, who recently extended his career for another season, also features on the list and is one of the few players who is not a winger.

A speedy England winger who recently announced his departure from Gloucester ranks sixth overall after a glittering career out wide with the Cherry and Whites and Bath.

Another one-club Sale Sharks winger cracks the top 10, and while he racked up 75 tries for the side, he earned just one cap for England. He was forced to retire in 2008 because of injury.

A centre/winger who played West Country rivals Gloucester and Bath cracks the top 10. The abrasive back is now a citing commissioner for the Premiership but was a fan favourite at both of the Premiership clubs he represented, playing over 200 times for Bath.

Just behind him is a fullback who played most of his career and scored most of his tries with Harlequins before stints with Newcastle Falcons and Leicester Tigers. While many of the players on the list did not play many Tests for England, this player notched up over 70 appearances for the Red Rose.

A rapid winger who played over 100 times for London Irish and Wasps also features on the lists, with the star going on to play in France for both Stade Francais and Toulon.
