Production photos have been released for the Park Theatre’s latest musical – the European premiere of A Song of Songs.

A Song of Songs tells the story of a young wife in a loveless marriage who discovers she has an unseen admirer. Intrigued, she enters into a mysterious and fervent love affair, finding herself on a dazzling journey of sexual and personal empowerment.

Written, directed and starring Ofra Daniel (Behind Closed Doors, Edges, What if?, Kassit – The Musical), A Song of Songs also stars Joaquin Pedro Valdes (Pacific Overtures, Death Note The Musical), Laurel Dougall (Singin’ in the Rain, Street Scene), Matthew Woodyatt (The Fair Maid of the West, Berlusconi), Rebecca Giacopazzi (Wicked), Shira Kravitz (The Band’s Visit), and Ashleigh Schuman.

The musicians are led by Musical Supervisor on keys Thomas F. Arnold, alongside Ramon Ruiz (Gypsy Kings) on lead flamenco guitar, percussionist Antonio Romero (The Band’s Visit), upright bass Ashley Blasse, clarinet Daniel Gouly, and klezmer violin Amy Price.

Joining Ofra Daniel in the creative team is Associate Director Victoria Gongora, Acting Coach Museo Rayo, Assistant Director Billy Mitchell, Lighting Designer Aaron J Dootson, Sound Designer Andrew Johnson, Set Design by visual artist Marina Paz, Production Manager James Anderton, and Casting Director Jane Deitch.

Music is by Ofra Daniel and Lior Ben Hur, in collaboration with Ali Paris and and Yuval Ron. Original direction and dramaturgy is by Christopher Renshaw

A Song of Songs is now playing at the Park Theatre in London until 15 June 2024.
