Think we're like bottom 1/3rd of affordability AND you have to deal with some gnarly winters. We have high energy costs, high housing costs where it's remotely desirable to live and all that.

Organizing is the answer. If someone considers themselves an activist and doesn't organize, they're not that serious about making a difference in the world. Organizing doesn't have to be political either, legislation or elections. It can be within any community, workplace, school, etc.
So long as there's a mass of people taking orders from a small few without any serious democratic process, there's a chance to build community power & take action, moving us towards that democratization & whatever demands.
We have to be fighting in every arena, every community, and then leveraging the power we build in demanding better conditions towards achieving larger goals state & nationwide. Because the nationwide campaigns are lacking, losing members & energy due to pandemic.
