Say “Annyeong!” To K Life PH, Manila’s Newest Hallyu Haven

Sing, dance, and shop to your heart’s content in this new space made especially for K-pop fans!

Picture this: your favorite idol group’s new album is finally out in the market, and all your fellow Korean fans are either lining up at stores, posting unboxing videos, and sharing photocard pulls online. You? Well, there’s a longer wait on your end even if you pre-ordered the same album. Regardless of whether you bought the album straight off the retailer’s website or joined a pasabuy, there’s still international shipping, customs clearance, and local shipping to contend with. While we Pinoy K-pop fans are used to patiently waiting for our merch to arrive—all in the name of fandom and all for the love of our biases—we still get envious of countries that are fortunate enough to have a permanent dedicated space to shop and enjoy Korean culture.

K Life PH is here to the rescue. (And there are no scammers on the premises. IYKYK.)

“Being a K-pop fan goes beyond knowing the hit songs and collecting idol merch,” says K Life PH founder Jacob Oh. “It is also about immersing yourself in the culture. K Life PH offers interactive activities such as wearing the hanbok and capturing it via the in-store photo booth. For those who are into performing and singing their hearts out, the store has a dance studio, too, where you can duet with their favorite K-pop stars. We at K Life PH would like to invite everyone to come and experience the vibrant and shining world of K-pop. Come in and meet fellow K-pop fanatics here. Let this be a safe and fun space for you where passion for K-pop overflows!”

And what a wonderland indeed! Located just around the corner of ORE Central Building in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, K Life PH features massive LED screens, sleek black interiors, and high glass walls inside. One of the BTS members—in TinyTan standee form only, unfortunately—is there to greet you at the door, ushering you into what may very well be paradise. BTS TinyTan plushies and the coveted Starfox Artist Chocolate selections line the walls, tempting you to add to cart almost immediately because you can take them home right away minus the months-long wait times you’ve grown so used to. K Life PH is in the process of adding more items to its in-store selection; if what you’ve been hoping to see isn’t on shelves yet, feel free to approach the staff members or reach out to the store online. If mastering the latest K-pop dance challenge or pretending you’re the fifth member of BLACKPINK is more your thing, you’re free to do so in the interactive dance studio.
