When Seamus Makim, aged five, stood beside Prince William as a pageboy at the wedding of his aunt, Sarah Ferguson, he wore a crisp, white sailor suit.
At his own wedding on Saturday, Sarah, Duchess of York and his mother, Jane, opted for even more striking outfits.
The sisters wore traditional German dress for the wedding in Germany, where Seamus – whose father is Jane's first husband, Alex Makim – has lived for some time. The film-maker exchanged vows with his fiancee, Sibylle.
Jane describes it as a 'perfect day'.

After the engagement was announced last autumn, Fergie said: 'I am so deeply happy for my darling Seamus. He is a man of such goodness and caring, particularly in his devotion for nature. His work as a film-maker in the oceans is beyond amazing.'
She added of his bride: 'I really am so impressed with lovely Sybille, and I know they will be the happiest ever couple, devoted to each other and Seamus's two boys.'
