Welcome to the largest gathering of depressed gamers talking about rats and stuff - also known as this sub. Stay strong! The rawness of it fades after some time...

I was depressed for a week after finishing it

It took me 5 business days to recover from that character's end.

u/I-give-up-on-my-name avatar

Only 5?? It took me 30 🥲

u/No-Plum9026 avatar

You guys are recovering from this shit?

It feels painful 😓 but see some explanations about the ending and you may feel better

u/PrincessAela avatar

Nah, I understood it well. I’m just sad now. That last sling shot killed me inside.

u/Rothion1124 avatar

You should let Lucas do it 😓

u/MickeySwank avatar

No, you shouldn’t. Lucas is the only “family” Amicia then has left and it taints their relationship

u/Rothion1124 avatar

Yeah I guess I agree with you 😅

u/PrincessAela avatar

I agree. If anyone were to, it’d have to be Amicia.

No, he's my brother, it has to be me... I mean Amicia.

Took me like 10 minutes to do it. I feel the pain

Oh yeah, I've been wrecked for weeks now after finishing it. 😭😭 Arent they making a 3rd?

it's not confirmed but asobo might be making a game that MAY be a plague tale game or some other story and era completely

There were about 800 years between the Justinian Plague and the events of A Plague Tale (1348-1349), so it would make sense for the next Carrier to appear in modern day, or the future.

yes it ties up with the 20th/21st century. it would be really cool to see if they implement the macula with covid lol

i’m sorry bro the pain is real as fuck

we all have faced the depression just watch some videos criticizing the story and discussing their views and opinions and you'll be back to normal (but your YouTube feed will be full of plague tale)

i agree- as someone who’s very emotionally impacted by stories i was genuinely really upset by the ending and reading critiques and articles about how they made the games definitely helped me take a step back. definitely not an easy narrative to swallow when you’re too invested haha

it took me 20 to 50 buisness days to get over it

It gives me solace reading I'm not alone with my grief. I, a dude in his 40s, finished requiem yesterday, ugly crying during the whole finale and a good hour afterwards. I've been playing videogames since the late 80s as my biggest passion, never had a gut-wrenching experience like those 2 games in 30 years...

Today I'm sitting at work unable to conecentrate, still trying not to sob randomly.

u/jjuturna avatar

finished it 3 days ago, i’m still prone to random bouts of weeping. i can very confidently say i’ve never encountered a story in any media type that has devastated me like requiem did. beautiful story but i feel gutted

u/James59394 avatar

Same with me it took me 3-4 days to stop being sad...even though I'm literally never emotional while playing games or watching movies

Just let it go, let it Go... 😭😭😭😭😭

Bro... Good luck.. 🥺 I was bawling my eyes out before we even got to the main thing... I was already in pieces by the end...broke my brain for a few days if not more..good luck..

Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I finished Requiem, I can’t stop thinking about the ending..😢

I just finished it about 3 hours ago. I binge played innocence and it over the last 4 days and it is amazingly tragic
