The Twilight Saga is a series of YA books and films that follow Bella Swan, whose life changes after she meets the mysterious Edward Cullen in the small town of Forks, Washington. When long-buried secrets rise to the surface, Bella finds herself torn between the human world and the supernatural world of vampires and werewolves. Twilight has fostered a close community since its release in 2005, and r/Twilight is proud to have served as the home of The Twilight Saga on Reddit for over a decade.

Minutes from what we see at the end of twilight, Bella’s hand where she was bitten was still cool to the touch even after the transformation being stopped

In the books, it would probably be 15 min max before it's too late, no data to prove this, but it certainly shouldn't take too long before it's too late because the venom spreads really fast.

I find Life and Death (spoilers) instructive here. Bella gets bitten on the hand and gets saved. Bella takes her bite when she raises her hand to defend her face right as Edward saves her from James’s final attack. In L&D, Beau is bitten on the finger during the torture instead and therefore earlier than Bella is. He knows what’s happening in fact and what’s coming unlike her because she had basically blacked out, but he can’t get it out to the Cullens with the broken ribs until he tries a few times.

The sucking the venom trick is tried on him too but the only futures were Edythe killing him via blood loss or him turning because they were already too late per Archie, the Alice proxy.

I once thought that Edythe’s Cullens just arrived moments later than Edward’s Cullens, but if you compare events, Beau is just bitten slightly before Bella. And that apparently makes all the difference.

Bella being saved from vampirism was a very, very near thing. Moments really.

Interesting, so the Cullens got there at the perfect moment so Edward could have a future of saving and keeping bella as a human, so maybe even less minutes, less than 2 or 3.

I thought it was pretty stupid to make Bella blackout and just listen to Edwards voice and not tell us what happened when the cullens arrived, I wanted the battle goddammit!!!! Lmao

The movies somewhat depict a battle but it wasn't Stephenie that wrote it.

Exactly. And in the alternate/parallel universe, Edythe’s Cullens did the same job, but they never had a chance with how events played out with Beau cause of how Joss’s decisions played out versus James’s. I agree, I’d eyeball it at 2 minutes making the difference, potentially even less. Joss bites him, nearly loses it from a resulting feeding frenzy, and Beau tries to use the momentary distraction to smash the camera left on the ground (failing). She kicks him across the floor into the mirrors to save the camera, and he’s basically unable to move and screaming from his injuries as she jumps and Edythe intercepts.

I agree, I’d have loved to see the battle myself lol. You don’t see it through Beau either to be fair. He goes from relieved Joss is finally going to end it to basically being unable to look around from his injuries and trying to tell Edythe about his hand.

The closest we get is Midnight Sun through Emmett’s memories of the event and his umbrage at James being demoralized by Jasper lol.

Yeah, that was some crazy luck Bella had, considering she is a magnet for disasters and bad luck lol.

I'm sure the battle wouldn't be difficult for the cullens, because they had numbers on their side, Edward would probably be written to arrive first at the studio because of his speed and desperation in losing bella, using his mind reading he could predict james moves and dodge accordingly, but james s experience would also play a factor, he is older than Edward and knows how to brawl, having killed dozens of vampires in his record, I'm sure being unpredictable, he could land a few hits, but Edward should get the victory because of his broken gift, then after some hits and difficulty in finishing james, he pushes him to other side of the studio, so Jasper and Emmet could fight, then some dialogue would be cool, like James telling the cullens how Edward sucks at fighting because he is young and laughing, and then Jasper proceeds to show his scars and James becomes more concerned etc.,

It's a shame, because I find james to be one hell of a character, guy was a legit psycho and a tank.

It takes like 30 seconds for your blood to do one full cycle around your body so... less than that for sure

Carlisle told Edward to make a choice within minutes of Bella getting bit. I imagine once the venom takes over the heart it's too late.

Bella did have some evidence of the venom left even though Edward took it out within like 2 min. The bite mark is cold and hard and sparkles in the sun.
