'Chandu Champion' trailer: Kartik Aaryan transforms completely in Kabir Khan film
The trailer of 'Chandu Champion', a biopic of Murlikant Petkar, was released today, May 18. The film, starring Kartik Aaryan in the titular role and directed by Kabir Khan, will release in theatres on June 14.

The trailer of Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming film, ‘Chandu Champion’, is now out. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film will see Kartik as a boxer, wrestler, and soldier. It is a biopic of Murlikant Petkar, India's first Paralympic gold medalist.
The posters of the film, ahead of the release of the trailer, had already hyped expectations. In the trailer, Kartik Aaryan plays Chandu, a man who dreams to become a champion. In an attempt to hone his skills to represent India in the Olympics, he joins the Army.
Injured with nine bullets in the war and in a coma for two years, it celebrates his spirit of never giving up and getting back up again.

The trailer was launched in Aaryan’s hometown – Gwalior.
Earlier, sharing a poster of the film, director Kabir Khan had written, “The story of ‘Chandu Champion’ is an incredibly inspiring true story but the journey that Kartik went through to become this champion is no less inspiring. I met him when he had put on weight for a role. He had 39 per cent body fat. I told him that he had to portray an international level multi-disciplinary sportsperson. He just smiled and said “ I will do it Sir”. A year and a half later with no use of steroids - something that he was adamant about - we took this photo on set. Body fat 7 per cent!! I’m proud of you (sic).”
Jointly produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan, 'Chandu Champion' is set for a June 14, 2024 release in theatres.
