Jennifer Garner left in tears as her and Ben Affleck’s daughter Violet graduates

Jennifer Garner experienced the emotional rollercoaster of watching her child prepare to leave home.

On Monday, Jennifer celebrated her eldest child Violet's high school graduation with a mix of pride and tears.

Following the ceremony, she shared a series of heartfelt photos on Instagram for her 16.2 million followers to see.

The first picture shows her clapping and holding back tears in a room full of other parents.

Subsequent photos capture her wiping away tears and humorously wearing "2024" sunglasses.

"Tell me you have a graduate without telling me you have a graduate. (bless our hearts)," Jennifer wrote.

One video in the slideshow shows the Alias star crying on a plane, worried she might miss an event.

Some fans speculated she might have been rushing home for Violet's graduation.

"How are we gonna make it?" Jennifer, who also has shares kids Fin, 15, and Samuel, 11, with ex-husband Ben Affleck, said in the video, blotting her eyes with a tissue. "What are we going to do?"

Jennifer's famous friends shared their love and support in the comments, many having gone through similar experiences.

"Oh honey ... I know. You have done a great job, mama! I will be here for support and lots of hugs," Reese Witherspoon commented.

Reese is currently working with Jennifer on season 2 of Apple TV+'s The Last Thing He Told Me.

Busy Philipps added: "I literally can't believe this."

Designer Rachel Zoe shared: "Omg JEN I just stopped crying a week after Sky's 13th so same girl same LOVE you madly and stay strong."

In November, Jennifer talked to ET at the premiere of Netflix's Family Switch about what she's learned since becoming a mother in 2006.

"My kids have taught me so much," Jennifer said, laughing. "Right now? Humility. They're on a real path for teaching me humility."

She also mentioned the challenges of raising three teenagers, saying: "My house is full of teens and they -- that is hard work."
