Entering the season of long evenings, summer barbeques and garden parties can only mean one thing: Love Island 2024 is right around the corner - and we now know the singles who will be gracing our screens this summer.

The twelfth season of the ITV series, hosted by Maya Jama, is set to begin on Monday, June 3, and the question on everyone's minds is who are the glamorous hopefuls set to enter the villa this year?

Today's top videos

The first contestants have been announced and they include a make-up artist, a footballer, a recruitment manager, a surveyor, an office administrator and a model. Meet the 12 singletons who have been confirmed as contestants for Love Island 2024:

Samantha Kenny, 26, is a makeup artist from Liverpool who said she's decided to go on Love Island to find someone to settle down with - and is hoping to find a cockney boy from London.

She said: 'I’m ready to settle down and Love Island is an amazing opportunity to meet someone that isn’t from my area. I love a cockney boy so I’m hoping there is one in there for me.'

Explaining why she is single, she said: I don’t get out enough, I work weekends and tend to not go out in Liverpool anymore. If I want a night out I go down to London as I love the boys down south. Tall, dark and cockney is my type.'

Samantha said she will bring some drama to the show as she is 'opinionated' and wears her heart on her sleeve, saying: 'I think I will definitely bring some fire, I’m very opinionated and wear my heart on my sleeve. I’m really bubbly too so I’ll definitely have a laugh as well as bringing some scouse glamour.'

Samantha already boasts nearly 5,000 followers on Instagram and regularly shares mirror selfies and snaps of her clients' makeup. No doubt her makeup skills will prove useful for the rest of the girls in the Majorcan villa this summer.

Ronnie Vint

The latest hunk set to enter the villa is 27-year-old semi-professional footballer Ronnie Vint from south east London.

Ronnie, who plays for non-league team Lewes, is a close friend of series favourite Olivia Attwood, even acting as best man at her wedding to Bradley Dack last summer.

He said: 'Bradley Dack is my best friend and he and Olivia are a big part of my life. I call Olivia my big little sister, she always looks out for me.'

MailOnline previously reported that he has been linked to a string of reality stars in the past but Ronnie said he wants to meet the right person to settle down with.

He said: 'I've had two serious relationships in the past but more recently have enjoyed being single and doing my own thing as I’ve been focused on my football career. I’ve got to the age where I want to find the right person I can build a life with.'

By the sounds of it, Ronnie knows exactly what his type is on paper, saying: 'I want someone that's family orientated, caring and career minded. Lookwise, I like blondes with nice boobs but am partial to a brunette too.'

Munveer Jabbal

Munveer, 30, from Surbiton in Surrey, has also struggled to find love while living in London saying the dating scene is 'horrible'.

He said: 'London dating hasn't worked out for me. The opportunity to be surrounded by good looking people in a villa under the sun is an absolute no brainer! I’m 30 years old and I need to start thinking seriously about the next step, and what better place.'

The recruitment manager said he is 'picky' when choosing to get into a relationship but is looking forward to being around other singletons in the villa.

He said: 'I haven’t found the right girl, I’m quite picky and have high standards. Dating in London is horrible. You don’t know who's single... but now you’re putting me in a place where everyone’s single so there’s no issues around that.'

His claim to fame is that he is friends with Piers Morgan's son, Spencer Morgan, after they met when Munveer moved to Fulham in 2018.

Nicole Samuel

Nicole Samuel, 24, from Aberdare in Wales, is the next contestant confirmed for the 2024 show.

The Welsh model and account manager has about 13,000 followers on her Instagram, which we are sure will skyrocket after her stint on the show.

She expects to be a contestant to remember, saying: 'My personality is big and I’m pretty out there, I reckon I’ll probably have one of the biggest personalities in the villa.'

As well as being a mode, she also has a hidden talent that might come in helpful for some of the challenges or talent shows, saying: 'I became a world champion dancer in 2011, not many people know that. I was a professional street dancer.'

In terms of her love life so far, she says she'd enjoyed being single, saying: 'I’ve been enjoying single life and the attention of different boys, it’s fun. I’ve enjoyed being able to go on holiday with the girls and not having to worry about someone back home.

'All the girls are there texting in their room and I’m out till four in the morning living my best life.'

Patsy Field

Patsy Field is the Love Island contestant with a disability to be going on the show. The 29-year-old, who hails from Orpington, was born with Erb's palsy, means her right arm is shorter in length and unable to function as well as her left, which developed during her traumatic birth.

Speaking about her disability, Patsy said: 'I've got something very special about me which is my disability, it’s a condition I was born with called Ebs Palsy. It doesn't define who I am, but it makes me a little different, although I’ve learnt to get on with it and it’s never held me back.'

Patsy previously told how she should've been born via C-section, but doctors delivered her naturally resulting in a defect that she's had to live with her entire life.

The office administrator from said she is ready to meet some 'hunky guys' in the villa, saying: 'I'm finally ready to find a sexy man and I think Love Island may just have some nice hunky guys for me. I think now is the right time as I’ve got a few greys so I need to bag a man sooner rather than later.'

She sounds like she will be a lot of fun in the Love Island villa, saying: 'My friends would say that I’m the loudest person in the group, I’m the one who’s always up for doing a dare, they’d say I was the life and soul of the party.

'My family would say that I’m bossy and that it’s always my way or the highway, they’d say I rule the roost.'

Ciaran Davies

Welshman Ciaran Davies, 21, from Pencoed has also been confirmed to enter the Love Island villa.

He's a rugby player, with Tondu RFC, based in West Wales. He currently has just over 3,000 followers on Instagram, though we can bet that will all change upon entry to the villa.

Ciaran said: 'It's the perfect time for me, I feel like I’m mature enough for something serious with the right girl.'

He's got a list of requirements to find his type on paper, but things loyalty is essential for a good relationship, saying: 'Obviously looks but humour is a big thing for me, I’m a bit of a wind up so I want a girl who can give it back. Loyalty is another one for me, I think that’s the most important thing to look for in a relationship.'

He's already had a taste of Love Island fame as he once impersonated former Love Islander and fellow Welshman Liam Reardon on a night out... and ended up with free drinks!

He said: 'When I was in Malia on a boys holiday I pretended to be Liam Reardon from series 7 to get into a club because they wouldn’t let us in. It worked and we ended up getting a private booth and free drinks all night.'

Mimii Ngulube

Mimii Ngulube, 24, from Portsmouth, decided on a whim to apply for a spot in the villa to find love as the dating pool in Portsmouth is 'not giving'.

She said: 'I’ve tried dating, speaking to people on social media and it just hasn’t been successful. Applying was a spontaneous thing, I didn’t expect to get here!'

She works as a mental health nurse and her family would describe her as 'loving, supportive, considerate, empathetic, loyal, and I’ve got a big heart!'

While she is going into the villa to find a man, she says she's a girls' girl at heart and hopes she also finds friendship however, she also thinks she'll be able to spot any shady behaviour... so watch out boys!

Mimii said: 'I'm a girls' girl. My girls are my rocks and I'm theirs so I'll be a good friend as well as going in there to find a man. I like dressing up so I’ll bring style, and I’d like to think I’m quite funny so I’ll make people laugh.

'Bringing honesty as well - I’m good at picking up on people's personality traits and side-eyeing those who might be a liar.'

Sam Taylor

Next up is Sam Taylor, 23, who is a hair stylist from Chesterfield, hoping to find that special someone in the Love Island villa.

He said: 'At this point in my life I just want the opportunity to find a real connection with someone. I’ve been looking for that connection for quite some time but I’ve never really found it, I’m hoping I find that spark in the villa.'

Sam sells himself as quite the catch as well, saying his best traits are his 'personality and chat'. He said: 'I'd like to think I've got lots of depth and substance which should hopefully help me out when trying to find a connection.'

I’d say not to judge a book by its cover because how I look compared to what I do for work might not necessarily add up. You wouldn’t look at me as a tall guy covered in tattoos and think that I make girls' hair look pretty for a living.

With his day job as a hair stylist, it sounds like Sam might have a special in with the ladies!

Jess White is a retail manager from Stockport is looking to find someone she can settle down with on Love Island as she has a fear of being the aunt still going to Ibiza 'having a midlife crisis'.

She said: 'All my friends are in relationships, settled down with babies and I'm going to end up that aunt that rocks up at family parties and they say "she's still not met someone, she’s still going to Ibiza having a midlife crisis". I just want to meet somebody and to be able to do all of that stuff too.'

The 25-year-old admitted she's 'hard work' in a relationship and can sometimes intimidate men but is hoping that she'll find someone who love that.

She said: 'I think I'm single because I don’t underestimate the fact that I'm hard work. I know what I want and I'm not easily pleased. When you’re a loud, outgoing woman, sometimes it can intimidate men... some men love that though.'

And she has some very specific physical requirements for what she's looking for in a future boyfriend, but top of her list is a set of gleaming white set of veneers

Jess said: 'I love a set of white Turkey teeth but a good set of Turkey teeth... You have to be tall, you can’t be shorter than me, I can't be having to question whether I can wear heels around you and what height of heels I can wear. If you’re vertically challenged, it’s not for me.'

Ayo Odukoya

Ayo Odukoya, 25, is a model from Canning Town in London who is hoping to find a girlfriend he can cosy up with after the show.

He said: 'I don’t really like being outside too much, I’ve been outside recently and it’s not fun outside! I do prefer to be indoors chilling with that person I can do stuff with. It would be nice to have that with somebody again.'

Ayo said he's ready to bring 'good energy' into the villa that helps others feel comfortable and by the sounds of it he could end up as the villa's counsellor, saying: 'The way I am gives off a good enough energy for people to feel comfortable around me.

He continued: 'I think people would have someone to come to and talk to and feel comfortable being around or to have a laugh with. I think I’m somebody everyone would take to.'

She said she'll bring 'a bit of fun and flirting' for the boys and is ready to be a 'really good friend' to the girls.

Harriett is a self-proclaimed 'it' girl in Brighton so we shall have to see if she lives up to her reputation in the villa but at the very least, she promises to be entertaining.
