I just purchased a used 2021 F150 Lariat Powerboost. There was no factory door code card with the vehicle (I checked the paperwork in the glove box and also looked inside the cover of the BCM). There was a handwritten door code notation on one of the small pamphlets in the glovebox and that code worked for the door. I wanted to add my own codes (two different ones) but the truck will only accept one personal code. Every time I tried to add both additional codes, the first one I entered was erased and I was left with whatever code I entered second in sequence.

I used the two-key method to determine the factory door code, and there was a different number displayed from the one written on the pamphlet. The displayed door code and the hand written door code, however, ended up being the same button sequence on the door key pad.

I also reset (erased) all previous door codes using the (enter the factory code, within 5 seconds push the 1/2 button, then within 5 seconds, press and hold the 1/2 button for two seconds) method. I then tried to enter my two separate door codes. Again, only the second entry was accepted. I can go back and forth using the additional code first or second in sequence and only the second code entered in sequence (whatever one I use) is accepted.

Does anyone have any idea why I can only add a single personal door code after clearing all of the codes? Everything I have read says I should be able to add up to five distinct personal codes.

You can only add one personal code to the system. The factory code cannot be erased and will always work.

Were you by chance hitting the 1/2 button after entering the personal code both times? For the second, third, etc you have to hit the next button down for each additional code after entering it. You still hit 1/2 before entering the extra codes but have to hit a different button afterward or else it just overwrites the first code.
1/2 for first code
3/4 for second code
5/6 for third code
7/8 for fourth code
9/0 for fifth code

This is how it is on my 2019 and I don't think it's been changed.
