What am I missing ?

So I like to visit casinos maybe every 2-3 months with a couple of thousand to play. I try to keep my bets around $5-10 per spin…slots only. Make a decent living…pay plenty of taxes.

Then you put on YouTube at night for a few minutes.

And you have guys with $20k, $50k, even $100k in the machines. Wow.

My question is how do they afford it? Million dollar income? Wall Street traders? Bought 5000 shares on GME 2 weeks ago? Lol

Seriously…what do I not see…I want to bet $200 a spin also! 😂

Thanks

The funny thing is I get as mad when I go broke playing Wynn Slot App as I do when I lose real money. I've been a billionaire many times on Wynn Slot App and went broke.

Youtubers can make a LOT of money doing slot videos.

Take Pompsie as an example. He was a youtuber who really just done hotel video reviews. He then added slots and quickly realised there was a lot of money to be earned so started Pompsie Slots channel. He started off with low bets but since the money has been rolling in hes been betting larger and larger bets.

SO OP unless you have a large amount of money or Youtube are paying you silly money then you aint gonna be betting big anytime soon.

What am I missing ?

I see it as a reckless disregard of money value.

I'm happy playing 25 cent video poker with my $40 freeplay - that gets me 160 attempts at profit, and if the result is a paid-for meal from my freeplay, that is satisfaction.

My take on "Go Big or Go Home" is "Go Big and Go Home Broke".

My (possibly conspiracist) theory is that at least some of those YouTubers are advertising (passively) for the slot companies so are being bankrolled directly by them. This is also my feeling about some of the heavy grinders in the casino. Casinos must have players, winners and jackpot dings to make it sound busy. My (again conspiracist) theory is that at least some of those are plants.

Of course you can build up a hefty portfolio from running YouTube advertising and so on but it isn’t quite as lucrative as people like to think. The real money comes from sponsorship.

Then there are just people with a lot of money to spend- more than any of us can ever imagine but honestly those people are not on YouTube.

Obviously all speculation and if someone wants to sponsor me to play slots please get in touch lol

One guy completely lost it and moved to Vegas and has done nothing but become a degenerate gambler.

I thought I read somewhere that certain casinos give them tickets with X amount of dollar value on it and then if they win anything they get a percent of what they win. I don't know if that's true or not. Some of those YouTubers don't pay for events they go to - as well as they don't pay for the food and drinks. I wonder what some of these people get paid by YouTube - there are so many of them out there now unless they are really popular - I wonder how long they'll last and how soon they have to go get real jobs.

You too can do this. All you have to do is start a Youtube company. Then every $ you spend while filming will be a business expense. Any food you buy- business expense. And you can bet that if these businesses WIn they probably aren't paying taxes on the income.
