Movie Carnage Figure Finally Joins Marvel Legends Line

It feels like every other company got to it first, but three years after Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the evil red symbiote at long last gets movie representation from Hasbro. It seems that either the Sony Spider-villain verse doesn’t give Hasbro the same level of early access as the MCU-related Spider-films do or that Hasbro is simply more skeptical about their toys selling. It’s probably for the best that they never made Jared Leto as Morbius, for example, though a lot of collectors would probably buy a Sydney Sweeney Spider-Woman.

Hold Tight With Big Red

Carnage does not include a Woody Harrelson likeness — customers might want to seek out his Tobias Beckett Star Wars figure — but he comes with almost everything else, from an extra tongue-out head to weapon hands and three bendy tentacle appendages. He stands at 8.5 inches tall, proportional to his larger size onscreen. (Comics-based Carnage figures tend to be smaller and skinnier.)

Carnage is not exclusive to any retailer, and will arrive at several online outlets for preorder May 15th, starting at 1 p.m. eastern. Prices may vary, but scuttlebutt has it he’ll be around $39.99.

Carnage is only the second figure from the live-action, post-MCU Sony Spider-Man spinoff movies, following a version of Venom. It would be nice to also get Riot, from the first film, and whoever the villain is in the third one, along with actor likeness heads, but at the rate they’re getting done, it may take a while — and other companies successfully making them first — in order to arrive there.

This onscreen version of Carnage got pretty definitively dispatched by Venom when the latter ate his head, so he’s not likely to return to the big screen. But never say never, especially in the multiverse. With a drop of the Venom symbiote now in the prime MCU timeline, it can always breed again. At least you can now own your own representation of movie Carnage for posterity.
