Tre Phelps sparks Georgia with boundless energy, thunder in his bat

COLUMBIA, S.C. — For the record, Georgia’s Tre Phelps isn’t leaving multiple buttons on his jersey top unbuttoned as an act of superstition and it’s not something he cooked up knowing that he’s spending his freshman season playing for a team whose games put him on television in front of hundreds of thousands of people with regularity. 

Rather, it’s something he’s done for a long time that he came back to this season.
