This is another amazing collection of Doris Day photos.


I am truly impressed with the photos of The 1970's Official Doris Day Society Journal covers . It makes me wonder if there were any other celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, or Suan Hayward who had similar journals published. The Journal speaks to Doris' important cultural influence.

The photo of Doris all in pink looks like she is surrounded by a pink halo. It is one of my all-time favourites.

The photo of Doris in the black and white stripes does not compliment Doris' natural beauty. There are flowers, stripes and a big belt that makes the photo busy.

The Marine Corps Coast Guard photo is new to me. I will research the song, "Honeydripper ".

The Desafanado cd tracks look similar yo Doris Latin for Lovers album, but there are differences.

I am always happy to see Midnight Lace photos. I think it is perhaps one of the most beautifully photographed films.

Seeing the "Julie" lobby cards in colour is a real treat. It is disappointing that Marty Melcher wanted to save money and not approve filming in colour when the Monteray coast is so stunning. Imagine how terrible it would be if Midnight Lace had been filmed in black and white.

The photo of Doris wearing the red scarf is new to me. It looks like it is from the 1953.

Again a pleasure hearing from you. The Doris Day Society magazines are amazing and I don't know if any other star had such beautiful magazines put together. The Doris Day Society crew did put a lot of time and love in these rare magazines and more than 50 years later they still are a great read and looking wonderful.




With the help of the amazing Lloyd K. Jessen the two lady's in the photo's are now identified.
