Danny Glover is one of my favorite actors.
Have you seen this one before? This is my co-host & I's favorite Glover performance.
I have not and it’s been on my watch list for a long time.
Since the movie we covered this week on the podcast (Highlander) has been posted here recently, I’m pulling out a previous episode of an old movie that more people should see: To Sleep With Anger
My co-host made me watch this Charles Burnett-helmed California classic and I think it’s essential viewing, not just because of its place in history or its stars (though it is fun to see pre-Abbott Elementary Sheryl Lee Ralph), but because it’s just a damn good movie from a living legend that still has not gotten his due. Like the greats before and after, Charles Burnett & Danny Glover tell a hyper-local story with such authenticity that it transcends into something truly universal. If you’ve enjoyed films by Barry Jenkins or Greta Gerwig, seek out To Sleep With Anger.

Terrific film. Danny Glover of course but a great ensemble cast.
I just saw this movie last night on TUBI…. And yes it is probably one of Danny Glovers top performances. A+ acting all around and the ensemble characters were interesting.
This movie could easily be adapted for the stage
